Vietnam ACB says 2007 profit doubles to $104 mln

HANOI, Jan 4 (Reuters) - Asia Commercial Bank ACB.HN (ACB), Vietnam's fifth largest lender, said on Friday it made a net profit of 1.68 trillion dong ($104 million) last year, more than double that of 2006.

The Ho Chi Minh City-based bank said in a statement its assets soared 96.2 percent to 87 trillion dong by the end of last year. The 2007 results were not audited, it said. ($1=16,108 dong) (Reporting by Ho Binh Minh; Editing by Michael Battye)
