HK shares recover as Wall Street, Esprit boost

 HONG KONG, Feb 1 (Reuters) - Hong Kong stocks rose on Friday
after two straight days of sharp declines, as gains on Wall
Street boosted investor confidence and apparel retailer Esprit
Holdings (0330.HK) climbed further after forecast-beating
earnings.
 The benchmark Hang Seng Index .HSI opened up 1.4 percent at
23,791.92. The China Enterprises index of H-shares .HSCE, or
Hong Kong-listed shares in mainland companies, rose 2 percent.
