Hong Kong shares set to fall 0.4 pct at open
HONG KONG, June 11 (Reuters) - Hong Kong shares were set to fall 0.4 percent on Wednesday, extending Tuesday's hefty losses, as investors watched for market-boosting measures from the Chinese government following the previous session's mauling.
Market heavyweight China Mobile (0941.HK) fell 1.5 percent, dragging the index lower. But HSBC (0005.HK) rose 0.5 percent after it said it may consider dropping out of the race for Korea Exchange Bank (004940.KS).
The Hang Seng Index .HSI was down 86.56 points at 23,288.96, after losing 4.21 percent on Tuesday.
The China Enterprises Index fell 0.58 percent to 12,715.78.
