HK shares open up 0.6 pct on Wall Street gains

HONG KONG, Aug 12 (Reuters) - Hong Kong shares will open 0.6 percent higher Tuesday on extended gains on Wall Street and a slight rebound in commodity-linked stocks, as analysts called for better valuations.

China

The Hang Seng Index .HSI is set to open up 132.84 points at 21,992.18.

The China Enterprises Index .HSCE of top locally listed Chinese firms is set to open 0.7 percent higher.

Gold miner Zijin Mining (2899.HK) will open down 5.2 percent as the price of the precious metal fell to its lowest in nearly eight months on Tuesday on a rising U.S. dollar.
