Stanchart hires Wallace, Alexander in Asia

HONG KONG, March 28 (Reuters) - Asia-focused Standard Chartered Bank (STAN.L)(2388.HK) has hired senior bankers Sean Wallace and Charles Alexander to boost the bank's corporate finance operations in the region.

The bank said in a statement received on Friday that it had appointed Sean Wallace as its group head of corporate finance and Charles Alexander as its regional head of origination and client coverage, North East Asia.

Wallace, who has worked at JPMorgan (JPM.N) and Merrill Lynch MER.N, moves to Standard Chartered from Darby Overseas Investments, Ltd, the private equity arm of Franklin Templeton Investments, where he was head of Asian operations.

Alexander was formerly head of Asia corporate finance for Lehman Brothers LEH.N. (Reporting by Umesh Desai; Editing by Edmund Klamann)
