China Comms ties up with Nokia, ZTE, Huawei abroad

HONG KONG, April 8 (Reuters) - China Communications Services Corp Ltd (0552.HK) has agreed to form a partnership with Nokia (NOK1V.HE) , ZTE (0763.HK) and Huawei [HWT.UL], under which the quartet plans to sell telecoms equipment to overseas markets.

Incoming chairman and current vice chairman Li Ping told reporters on Tuesday the three wireless gear vendors -- China's ZTE and Huawei and Europe's Nokia -- would jointly sell to markets beyond China, while China Communications provides telecoms infrastructure support.

He declined to say which markets they would target, or to elaborate on details of the partnership. China Communications is an engineering and technical services provider and a partner of Cisco Systems Inc (CSCO.O) in its home country. (Reporting by Vinicy Chan; Editing by Edmund Klamann)
