HONG KONG, May 5 (Reuters) - Here are some stocks on the move
in Hong Kong on Monday.
As of 0245 GMT, the benchmark Hang Seng Index .HSI was up
0.07 percent at 26,260.48 points. The index opened up 0.31
percent.
The China Enterprises Index of Hong Kong-listed mainland
companies .HSCE, or H shares, was up 0.08 percent at 14,642.85
points.
STOCKS ON THE MOVE:
* Shares in China's top e-commerce firm Alibaba.com Ltd
(1688.HK) fell as much as 5.7 percent on Monday after Microsoft
Corp (MSFT.O) withdrew its bid for Alibaba's major investor,
Yahoo Inc (YHOO.O). [ID:nN04337053]
The stock had been overpriced and investors were using
Miscrosoft's withdrawal as an excuse to sell, brokers said.
* Shares in mobile carrier China Unicom (0762.HK) rose 2
percent after local media reported that its chairman, Chang
Xiaobing, may become chief executive of bigger rival China Mobile
(0941.HK) as part of a reshuffling of China's telecommunication
industry that is expected to begin later in May. [ID:nHKG68161]
* Top Chinese offshore oil producer CNOOC Ltd (0883.HK) rose
more than 2 percent after oil prices steadied above $116 as
better-than-expected U.S. jobs data eased worries of U.S.
economy.
