Citigroup hires new head of Vietnam investment banking

HONG KONG, April 11 (Reuters) - Citigroup (C.N) has appointed Son Nam Nguyen as head of Vietnam investment banking, according to an internal memo, as the bank expands its reach into the Asia Pacific market.

Nguyen was a managing director in Citi's Asia-Pacific Technology Investment Banking group in Hong Kong.

"There are immense opportunities for Citi in Vietnam to provide investment banking services to our clients," Mark Renton, co-head of Asia Pacific investment banking, said in the memo, released late on Thursday.
