HK Hot Stocks: China Railway, resource plays advance
HONG KONG, March 14 (Reuters) - Here are some stocks on the move in Hong Kong on Friday:
As of 0234 GMT, the blue-chip Hang Seng Index .HSI was up 1.2 percent, in line with opening levels.
The index opened up 1.1 percent at 22,536.12.
STOCKS ON THE MOVE:
* China Railway Construction (1186.HK) rose 2 percent to HK$12.24, a day after disappointing investors by finishing up 12 percent on its market debut.
* Oil producers chase record crude prices and gold plays go for record gold
PetroChina (0857.HK) rose 2.2 percent to HK$10.34 and CNOOC Ltd (0883.HK) advanced 2.9 percent to HK$12.74.
Zijin Mining leapt 3.2 percent to HK$9.68 and Lingbao Gold (3330.HK) climbed 2.5 percent to HK$4.55.
* Hong Kong utilities rise as safe havens gain sway
HK Gas and Electric (0003.HK) shot up 3.7 percent to HK$22.6 and Hongkong Electric (0006.HK) gained 2.5 percent to HK$47.65.
* TV maker TCL Multimedia (1070.HK) dived 8.9 percent to HK$0.41. The company said its 2007 loss was HK$252 million versus HK$2.5 billion a year ago. (Reporting by Rita Chang; editing by Anne Marie Roantree)
