M.Stanley HK analyst Hart moves to Sansar Capital
HONG KONG, June 10 (Reuters) - A high-profile Morgan Stanley (MS.N) analyst in Hong Kong, Rob Hart, has left the Wall Street bank after 12 years to join alternative asset management firm Sansar Capital Management in Singapore, people familiar with the matter said.
Hart, who was a Hong Kong strategist and managing director at Morgan Stanley, declined to comment. Sansar officials also declined to comment. A Morgan Stanley spokesman confirmed that Hart had left the firm.
A South African, Hart was frequently quoted by media while at Morgan Stanley. He most recently covered the conglomerates, gaming and leisure sectors.
Hart, who is also a mountaineer, attempted to climb Mount Everest in 2005 but was forced by bad weather to turn back short of the summit.
New York-based Sansar's Asia holdings have included a roughly 1 percent stake in Chinese solar cell maker Suntech Power Holdings Co Ltd (STP.N) as of the end of March, according to Thomson Reuters data.
