FACTBOX-Military deaths in Afghanistan
April 28 (Reuters) - An Australian soldier was killed by Taliban insurgents in southern Afghanistan, the Australian Department of Defence said on Monday.
The death brings the number of Australian soldiers killed in Afghanistan since the overthrow of the Taliban in 2001 to five.
More than 200 foreign troops were killed in Afghanistan last year and 50 foreign troops have been killed so far this year.
Here are figures for foreign military deaths as a result of violence or accidents in Afghanistan since the Taliban government was toppled in late 2001:
