FACTBOX-Security developments in Afghanistan, June 28

June 28 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 0630 GMT on Sunday:

FARAH - Five policemen were killed when Taliban insurgents attacked a checkpoint in the Posht-e-Rud district of western Farah province on Saturday, said Mohammad Nadi Popal, provincial director of security. Seven insurgents were also killed in the fighting, he said.

FARAH - Two policemen were killed and two wounded when Taliban fighters ambushed a police checkpoint in Farah's Bala Boluk district on Saturday, said Abdelbasir Ghuri, a spokesman for the Afghan army in the province.
