 - PLN TO CUT ENERGY COSTS SIGNIFICANTLY IN 2010
 State power company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN)
expects to cut energy costs by 26.6 trillion rupiah ($2.84
billion) in 2010 due to lower consumption of oil products, said
President Director Fahmi Mochtar. (Jakarta Post)
 - GOVERNMENT PLANS NEW ROADS, HOUSING IN SUMATRA AND
SULAWESI
 The Transport Ministry plans to launch development of 695
km (432 miles) of roads in Sumatra and Sulawesi island next
year which will be the first projects under the ministry's
five-year programme to build a total 19,500 km of roads
nationwide, Transport Minister Djoko Kirmanto said. (Jakarta

 - SAPTAINDRA TO DELAY IPO ON MINISTERIAL DECREE
 Indonesian coal miner PT Saptaindra Sejati, a subsidiary of
the country's largest coal miner by market value PT Adaro
Energy Tbk (ADRO.JK), has delayed its IPO plan indefinitely as
it is still considering the impact of a ministerial decree on
certain conditions for coal miners. (kontan)
 - HOUSE TO HOLD PLENARY SESSION FOR SPECIAL INQUIRY ON
CENTURY BANK
 The House of Representatives will hold a plenary session on
Tuesday to respond to mounting calls from several legislators
including from the Democratic Party for Struggle (PDIP) and
Golkar party to form a special inquiry committee to investigate
the bail out of Bank Century, said a legislator from PDIP Gayus
Lumbun. (Jakarta Post)
 - INDONESIA-MALAYSIA AGREE TO SET UP JOINT LABOUR TASK
FORCE
 Indonesia and Malaysia have agreed to set up a joint task
force to deal with problems of Indonesian migrant workers in
Malaysia, said Manpower and Transmigration minister Muhaimin
Iskandar (Jakarta Post)
 - INDONESIA PROPOSES PRO-POOR INITIATIVE
 Indonesia will bring a pro-poor forest initiative proposal
to help local people benefit from forest protection at the
upcoming Copenhagen climate talks, said a member of delagation

 MARKET SNAPSHOTS
 * Indonesia's stock index .JKSE rose 1.7 percent on
Monday to its highest since Oct. 26, with the biggest lender,
Bank Mandiri (BMRI.JK), up 4.8 percent and coal miner Bumi
Resources (BUMI.JK) surging 6.1 percent. [.SO]
 * U.S. stocks rose broadly on Monday, sending indexes to
fresh 13-month closing highs, after Federal Reserve Chairman
Ben Bernanke reinforced expectations that interest rates would
stay low to spur growth [.N]
 * Oil prices settled above $78 a barrel, up over 3 percent
on Monday as a weaker dollar and better-than-expected U.S.
consumer spending data boosted prices.[O/R]

 * Malaysian crude palm oil futures rose 2.1 percent on
Monday to an 11-week closing high supported by strong exports
in the first fifteen days of November and a jump in crude oil

 * In Indonesia, the state marketing centre, based in
Jakarta, did not sell any of the 13,000 tonnes of crude palm
oil offered at auction on Monday due to low bids. [OILS/TEND]

MARKETS NEWS - For an outlook of Asian stock trading, click on
[STXNEWS/AS] -  The Malaysian ringgit and Philippine peso rose
against a broadly weaker dollar on Monday, while the Indian
rupee continued strengthening in both offshore and onshore
markets. [EMRG/FRX] - Singapore's stock index .FTSTI climbed
to its highest in 15 months on Monday, leading gains in other
major Southeast Asian stock markets as investors snapped up
