Indonesia plane carrying over 100 crashes-air force

JAKARTA, May 20 (Reuters) - An Indonesian military transport plane carrying 13 crew and about 96 passengers has crashed in Madiun in East Java, an air force spokesman said on Wednesday.

The number of casualties was unclear, said spokesman Bambang Soelistyo, adding the Hercules transport plane had been flying from Jakarta to the eastern part of Java island. (Reporting by Telly Nathalia; Writing by Ed Davies; Editing by Alex Richardson)
