Indonesia's Bank Ekonomi shares jump 10 pct on HSBC deal

JAKARTA, Oct 21 (Reuters) - Shares of Indonesia's Bank Ekonomi Raharja Tbk (BAEK.JK) opened 10 percent higher on Tuesday after HSBC (HSBA.L) announced it will buy an around 89 percent stake in Bank Ekonomi for $607.5 million.

Bank Ekonomi's shares opened at 2,090 rupiah ($0.2), up from Monday's closing price of 1,900 rupiah. ($1 = 9,810 rupiah) (Reporting by Harry Suhartono, editing by Sugita Katyal)
