Malaysia ministers must declare assets: report
KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - Malaysia's premier wants all his ministers to declare their assets, so that they are known to the public, state news agency Bernama reported on Tuesday. "I want their assets to be known to the public, that is important," the agency quoted Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi as saying after he announced his new cabinet following a dramatic election upset for his ruling coalition this month.
The ministers would be told about the matter at the new government's first cabinet meeting on Wednesday, the agency added.
