TomTom declines comment on Tele Atlas report
AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - Dutch navigation device maker TomTom (TOM2.AS) declined to comment on Sunday on a Reuters report that the European Commission is raising formal objections to its takeover of Tele Atlas TA.AS, TomTom's main map supplier.
A TomTom spokesman would not say whether the company had received such a "statement of objections" and said any problems the EU would raise about the deal were between it and the Commission.
"We continue to be committed (to the deal)," the spokesman said. "We are positive about the outcome."
