British teacher jailed in Sudan arrives home

LONDON (Reuters) - A British teacher jailed in Sudan for letting her pupils name a teddy bear Mohammad arrived back in London on Tuesday after being pardoned and freed by Khartoum.

Gillian Gibbons, sentenced on Thursday to 15 days in jail for insulting Islam, arrived at London's Heathrow airport at around 0705 GMT (2:05 a.m. EDT) on a flight from Khartoum along with two prominent British Muslim legislators who had pleaded for her early release.
