SystemsNet eyes Getronics takeover: paper
AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - U.S. information technology company SystemsNet is interested in buying struggling Dutch computer services firm Getronics NV GTN.AS, daily De Telegraaf reported on Thursday.
Maryland-based SystemsNet had previously held talks with Getronics, the paper said, citing Getronics sources.
Getronics could not be immediately be reached for comment.
On Tuesday, the company said it has received a formal expression of interest from a U.S.-based firm to acquire all of its shares. It did not name the company.
Analysts said interested U.S. players could include EDS EDS.N, Hewlett-Packard (HPQ.N), CSC, Perot Systems PER.N, IBM (IBM.N) and Dell (DELL.O).
SystemsNet Inc., formed by GTCR and Ken Bajaj in late 2004, focuses primarily on the healthcare and financial services industries, the U.S. company said on its Web site.
