Recruitment firm Hays HAS.L has posted a ten percent rise in pre-tax profits to the end of June to 211.7 million pounds. The group was helped by strong international markets and said that net fees since July were 19 percent higher than last year. Announcing his last set of results ahead of retirement, Denis Waxman said: "I'm pleased to say I'll be leaving on a high note". Waxman said the group had been expanding in Japan and would also concentrate on Hong Kong, China and Singapore.
