Finnish pharmacists' strike ends

HELSINKI, Dec 7 (Reuters) - Finnish pharmacists on Friday agreed a pay deal with employers, ending a three-week strike, the union said.

Pharmacists would receive a 14.2 percent raise, lifting wages by an average of 400 euros ($580) in the next two years and 9 months, the union said.

Pharmacists went on a one-day strike on Nov. 15 in the national capital area. A larger strike covering about one-third of the country's pharmacies began on Nov. 19 and widened gradually.

The strike limited opening hours at some pharmacies, but practically all have stayed open. Drugs distributor Oriola-KD (OKDBV.HE) has said the strike would have some impact on its sales and profits. (Reporting by Helsinki Newsroom)
