Kenya opposition suspends talks with Kibaki

NAIROBI, April 8 (Reuters) - Kenya's opposition party said on Tuesday it was suspending talks with President Mwai Kibaki's party until its rivals agreed to share power fairly.

"We have resolved that negotiations ... be suspended until (Kibaki's Party of National Unity) fully recognises the 50/50 power-sharing arrangement and the principle of portfolio balance," Anyang' Nyong'o, secretary-general of the Orange Democratic Movement, told a news conference.
