The Oscar-nominated star of "The Talented Mr. Ripley" and "Cold Mountain" was arrested in September on suspicion of attacking a photographer outside his London home.

The 34-year-old went to a local police station voluntarily after the incident and was released on police bail.

"The police have told me that they and the CPS (Crown Prosecution Service) have examined the photographer's allegation extremely carefully and made the decision that there is no further action to be taken," Law's spokeswoman in London said, quoting the actor.

"Of course I am delighted to be vindicated."

A CPS spokeswoman said she had no information available regarding Law's case.
