European shares rise further on Buffett rescue plan

LONDON, Feb 12 (Reuters) - European shares rose further in mid-session on Tuesday as U.S. futures climbed after American billionaire financier Warren Buffett told CNBC that Berkshire Hathaway had offered to take over liabilities from bond insurers.

By 1313 GMT, the FTSEurofirst 300 .FTEU3 index of top European shares was up 1.5 percent at 1,310.82.

U.S. futures DJc1 SPc1 NDc1 were up about 0.6 percent. (Reporting by Dominic Lau)
