Killing of Hezbollah commander "terrorist act": Syria

DAMASCUS (Reuters) - The assassination of Hezbollah commander Imad Moughniyah in Damascus was a "terrorist act", Interior Minister Bassam Abdel Majeed said on Wednesday.

In the first official reaction to Tuesday's killing, Abdel Majeed told the official Syrian news agency that an investigation was under way to determine who was behind a car bomb that killed Moughniyah in the Syrian capital.

Hezbollah has accused Israel of carrying out the attack but Israel denied involvement.
