POLITIS

- Health ministry to overhaul its medical supplies process after disclosures substantial amounts of money is wasted.

- Problems have surfaced in the preparatory groups discussing the Cyprus issue. Difficulties are centred on issues of property, territory, security and guarantees.

SIMERINI

- President Demetris Christofias reiterates there are problems in preparatory talks between the Greek and Turkish Cypriot sides.

- Businessman Theodoros Aristodemou elected new chairman of Bank of Cyprus BOC.CY (BOCr.AT).

PHILELEFTHEROS

- Government says some recent price increases in consumer products are unwarranted, but that it can do little about it.
