It is the fifth time Roddick has qualified for the prestigious tournament although he missed the 2005 edition through injury.

Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Nikolay Davydenko have already booked their places at the elite eight-man tournament.

Roddick, who won titles at Washington and the Queen's Club this year, has been out of action with a foot injury but is scheduled to return in Lyon next week.
