Russia chides U.S. for collapse of N.Korean talks
MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia on Thursday chided the United States for undermining talks on North Korea's nuclear program by failing to resolve the question of frozen funds, Interfax news agency reported.
"The American side promised to resolve the financial question and this promise was not fulfilled," Alexander Losyukov, Russia's negotiator at the six-party talks, said on his return to Moscow, Interfax reported.
"As the American side failed to resolve the question of finance, the North Korean delegation rather logically refused to discuss further steps," Losyukov said.
Talks on North Korea's nuclear program ended abruptly on Thursday after four days of negotiations were derailed by the issue of funds frozen in a Macau bank.
