Stocks

GENERAL AND POLITICS

-- Some 1,000 milk producers protested throughout the country, demanding more subsidies (Klasa, Trud, Standart)

-- A total of 195 high ranking state officials have filed incorrect data on their income statements, the state's audit office said (Dnevnik, Monitor, 24 Chasa, Trud, Duma, Sega, Standart).

-- Bulgaria's economy ministry said the ban on power exports will be in force through January (Dnevnik, Monitor, Trud).

ECONOMY

DNEVNIK - The World Bank sees inflows from Bulgarians living abroad to Bulgaria slowing to $1.85 billion. Central bank data showed these inflows stood at 3.0 billion levs ($2.24 billion) in the first eleven months of 2007.

-- Housing prices increased 30 percent last year, data from the stats office showed. The average price in the country was 1,090 levs per square metre (Dnevnik, Monitor, 24 Chasa, Pari, Sega).

BUSINESS

-- Bulgaria hopes to wrap up the sale of Sofia's heating plant by the end of 2009, economy minister said (Monitor, 24 Chasa, Duma).

PARI - German utility E.ON EONG.DE said it plans start building three small wind farms at the Bulgarian Black Sea coast this year.
