Russia's Sberbank sees 2009 loan growth at 25 pct

LONDON, Dec 2 (Reuters) - Russia's largest bank Sberbank (SBER03.MM) sees its loan portfolio growing by 25 percent in 2009 after receiving a 500 billion rouble ($17.85 billion) subordinated loan, deputy CEO Bella Zlatkis told a conference on Tuesday.

Sberbank's loan portfolio, which stood at 3.8 trillion roubles as of Nov. 1, is expected to grow by between 20 and 30 percent in the fourth quarter of 2008. Sberbank is majority owned by Russia's central bank. (Reporting by Olesya Dmitracova, writing by Gleb Bryanski; editing by Maria Kiselyova)
