Luxury demand unaffected by financial turmoil - PPR

PARIS, Jan 24 (Reuters) - Demand for luxury goods in the fourth quarter "has definitely not been affected by financial and economic turmoil", PPR (PRTP.PA) Chief Financial Officer Jean-Francois Palus said in a conference call on Thursday.

Palus added he expected a "healthy environment for luxury goods in 2008" and the group would be "better prepared than ever" to cope with currency fluctuations.
