LME PEOPLE-Credit Suisse appoints commodity heads

LONDON, Oct 25 (Reuters) - Swiss-based Credit Suisse (CSGN.VX) said on Thursday it appointed Adam Knight and Beau Taylor as co-heads of global commodities.

The bank has embarked on a partnership with Swiss-based trader Glencore to accelerate growth in its oil, coal and metals businesses.

Knight will be based in London and focus primarily on running and developing the Glencore alliance.

Taylor will be based in New York and focus largely on building our proprietary trading business in commodities.

"Commodities is a maturing asset class that is creating significant opportunities across institutional and corporate clients," the bank said in a note.
