LONDON, July 2 (Reuters) - Holdings of Julius Baer's (BAER.VX) gold-backed exchange-traded fund rose 45,600 ounces or 2.8 percent in the week to June 30, the bank said in its weekly statement.

The amount of gold the fund holds to back its exchange-traded securities had climbed to a record 1.691 million ounces by Tuesday, from 1.645 million ounces a week before, it said.

The Swiss bank said it expects its gold holdings to have remained at that level in the last two sessions. (Reporting by Jan Harvey; Editing by William Hardy)
