UPDATE 1-Turkish Eczacibasi Ilac seeks partners, shares up

ISTANBUL, Feb 28 (Reuters) - Turkey's Eczacibasi Ilac (ECILC.IS) said on Thursday it was talking to possible partners to work together in the health sector, sending its stock sharply higher.

The pharmaceutical company, whose products range from drugs to face cream, gave no other details in a short statement to the stock market.

At 1209 GMT its stock stood 3.6 percent higher, outperforming a 0.5 percent fall on the main Istanbul share index .

Eczacibasi Ilac is part of the Eczacibasi Group, a family-run conglomerate with interests ranging from consumer products to real estate.

Last year, Czech Zentiva ZNTVsp.PR bought a 75 percent stake in Eczacibasi Generic Pharmaceuticals from Eczacibasi Ilac for 460 million euros ($690 million). (Editing by David Holmes)
