An Israeli army spokeswoman said two aerial attacks targeted "terror threats" in the Hamas-controlled territory.

In addition to the two dead, six other militants and three Palestinian civilians were wounded in the Israeli strikes, the medical workers said.

Egypt has been trying to broker a truce that would end militants' rocket attacks on Israel and Israeli raids in the Gaza Strip.
