Ferguson leads trio of Miami arrivals
MIAMI (Reuters) - Miami has reached agreement with the Dallas Cowboys to bring in nose tackle Jason Ferguson for undisclosed draft choices, the Dolphins said on Friday.
The Dolphins have raided the Cowboys for several members of their new coaching staff, including head coach Tony Sparano, since Bill Parcells took over as head of football operations in December in the wake of their dismal one-win season.
Ferguson, 33, arrived in the NFL as a seventh-round draft choice for the New York Jets in 1997.
He spent eight seasons with the Jets before moving to Dallas as a free agent in 2005. He sat out last season after being injured in the opening game.
The Dolphins also signed two unrestricted free agents on Friday, wide receiver Ernest Wilford from the Jacksonville Jaguars and tight end Sean Ryan from the Jets.
Wilford signed a four-year contract while Ryan's deal was for one year.
