 Canton of Solothurn supports Swissmetal's site development
 
Dornach, 29th January 2008

The government of the Canton of Solothurn has approved an
application by Swissmetal - UMS Schweizerische Metallwerke AG
regarding the offset of carry forward losses. This decision by
the cantonal government will lead to reduced taxation costs for
all of Swissmetal's activities in the Canton of Solothurn in the
years to come, this gain being capitalised in financial year
2007 and creating a profit at EAT level of a total amount of
about CHF 1.5 million.
