ROMANIAN LEU EXTENDS GAINS TO 10-DAY HIGH VS EURO

Romania's leu extended this week's gains to reach a 10-day high against the euro on Thursday, following an improved regional mood triggered by revived expectations of an interest rate cut in the United States, dealers said.

ROMPETROL BUILDS BLACK SEA MARINE CRUDE TERMINAL

Romania's second largest oil company, The Rompetrol Group NV (TRG), is building a 14-million-tonnes per year crude terminal in the Black Sea, it said on Thursday.

Carpatcement Holding, a local unit of Germany's HeidelbergCement (HEIG.DE), estimates that in 2008 the cement market will exceed one billion euros. The cement output by the end of 2007 could reach 10.5 million tonnes.
