 PARIS - Auction of OAT treasury notes (0950 GMT). The French
Treasury will auction between 6.5 and 8.0 billion euros of 3.25
percent April 2016 OATs, 3.75 percent April 2017 OATs, 3.75
percent October 2019 OATs and 4.50 percent April 2041 OATs.
 PARIS - President Nicolas Sarkozy meets Polish Prime
Minister Donald Tusk for Franco-Polish summit meeting, followed
by working lunch (1015 GMT).
 NATIONWIDE - The first volume of the memoirs of former
French president Jacques Chirac go on sale. The book, entitled
"Each step should be a goal", covers the 76-year old leader's
life from his childhood to his election as president in 1995. A
secodn volume is to be released at a later date.

 RYADH, Saudi Arabia - Start of a 2-day official visit by
President Nicolas Sarkozy (to Nov. 18).
 PARIS - Second auction of art works belonging to Yves Saint
Laurent and his companion and business partner, Pierre Berge (to
Nov. 19). The first art sale, held in February, raised more than
370 million euros ($555.2 million). Proceeds from both sales
will be donated to AIDS research.

 PARIS - Paris court rules on the appeal by oil giant Total
against the verdict in its trial over the Erika oil tanker
diasaster. Total was found guilty of negligence after the tanker
sank off the French Atlantic coast in 1999, causing major
environmental damage.

 PARIS - Auction of BTAN medium-term treasury notes (0950
GMT).
 PARIS - Auction of OATi index-linked treasury notes (1050
GMT).
