Sterling reverses gains vs dollar, hits session low

LONDON, Sept 2 (Reuters) - Sterling hit a session low against the dollar on Friday as the dollar rallied across the board on safe-haven demand after data showing U.S. jobs growth ground to a halt highlighted weakness in the U.S. economy and raised concerns about the health of the global economy.

The pound slipped to $1.6172, retreating from the day’s high of $1.6255.
