Dubai's Deyaar eyes regional aquisitions -CEO

Mon Oct 6, 2008 3:36am EDT

DUBAI, Oct 6 (Reuters) - Dubai developer Deyaar DEYR.DU said on Monday that it was looking for international aquisitions including in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Turkey but expansion might be slowed if liquidity is short.

"We are looking at opportunities for an acquisition in countries such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, wherever it makes sense," Chief Executive Markus Giebel said.

"We would like to control so a 100 percent stake is preferred."

Deyaar said on Sunday its third-quarter net profit had jumped almost 56 percent on growth in sales.
