VIENNA, Nov 7 (Reuters) - Austrian stock exchange operator Wiener Boerse said on Friday it will acquire a 92.4 percent stake in the Prague Stock Exchange, adding to its collection of stakes in eastern European exchanges.

The Prague exchange covers 29 companies with a total market capitalisation of around 40 billion euros ($51.18 billion) at the end of September, Wiener Boerse said in a statement. It did not say how much it will pay for the stake.

It already holds large stakes in the Budapest exchange and the Ljubljana bourse. (Reporting by Sylvia Westall; Editing by David Cowell)
