Moldova says gas supplies via Ukraine cut off

CHISINAU, Jan 7 (Reuters) - Moldova is no longer receiving Russian gas via Ukraine, the country's government said in a statement on Wednesday.

"This morning Ukraine cut off gas supplies to Moldova," the government said in the statement on its Web site, www.gov.md. (Reporting by Dmitry Chubashenko, writing by Robin Paxton, editing by Amie Ferris-Rotman)
