REFILE-Guinean forces fire on rioters in capital

CONAKRY, May 9 (Reuters) - Guinean security forces fired on rioters in the capital Conakry on Saturday, wounding at least two people, in the first major public disorder since a military junta seized power there in December, a police source said.

The riot, in which a police station and several police vehicles were attacked, was sparked by an armed robbery on a local shop by thieves dressed in military uniform, a senior police official who declined to be identified told Reuters.

The official said at least two people were injured as security forces fired at the crowd, while witnesses said several had been wounded. (Reporting by Saloiu Samb; Writing by Mark John)
