Iran's Larijani says no need for UK sailor trial
LONDON (Reuters) - Ali Larijani, the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said on Monday he believed the standoff over 15 British sailors being held by Iran could be resolved without a trial.
"This issue can be resolved and there is no need for any trial," he told Britain's Channel 4 News in a television interview from Tehran, adding that there should be a "delegation" to clarify if they had strayed into Iranian waters.
