Dutch wind firm EWT delays IPO on market turmoil

AMSTERDAM, Aug 13 (Reuters) - Dutch wind turbine maker Emergya Wind Technologies BV (EWT), has postponed a planned stock market listing due to financial market volatility, an external relations officer said on Wednesday.

"Since the problems in the financial markets the planning was postponed a little bit," she told Reuters by telephone.

She said the listing was originally planned for the first half of 2008 but was now on hold.

EWT, which has been active since 2004, had said it was considering an initial public offering (IPO) on the London Stock Exchange to raise funds to expand production. (Reporting by Catherine Hornby; Editing by Paul Bolding)
