PARIS, Oct 15 (Reuters) - Unibail-Rodamco (UNBP.PA) had no comment on Wednesday on a report in the Challenges weekly that it had made a bid to buy back, at a lower price, the Coeur de Defense office blocks it sold in 2007 to the collapsed investment bank Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc (LEHMQ.PK).

"We do not comment on rumors," a spokesman said.

"PricewaterhouseCoopers, administrators for Lehman Brothers, will sell the enormous complex of offices, Coeur Defense. Unibail, which sold it for 2.1 billion euros ($2.87 billion) to Lehman in 2007, appears to have made an offer of ... 1.2 billion," the paper said in an emailed version of its main stories.

There was no comment at PricewaterhouseCoopers, nor at Atemi, a unit of Lehman Brothers Real-Estate Partners.

Challenges said Carlyle Europe and Perella Weinberg Real-Estate were also interested in the offices in the La Defense business suburb of Paris, where many French multinational companies have their headquarters. ($1=.7320 Euro) (Reporting by Juliette Rouillon, editing by Gerald E. McCormick)
