Russian officials discuss crisis measures-Putin

MOSCOW, Sept 16 (Reuters) - Russian officials from the central bank and the Finance Ministry are discussing with the banking community urgent measures to handle the market crisis, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday.

"There are no doubts we can calmly pass through these unpleasant events in the world economy," Putin was quoted as saying at the start of a meeting with Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev. (Reporting by Oleg Shchedrov, writing by Gleb Bryanski)
