TABLE-John Lewis week to Nov 14 total sales up 19 pct

LONDON, Nov 20 (Reuters) - British retailer The John Lewis Partnership [JLP.UL] on Friday gave the following sales figures for the week to Nov. 14 compared to a year earlier.

Cyclical Consumer Goods

Week to Nov. 14 15 weeks to Nov. 14

Total sales 19.0 pct 10.3 pct

Dept stores 17.1 pct 5.8 pct

Food group 20.6 pct 13.3 pct

John Lewis said on Nov. 19 that department store sales increased 15 percent year-on-year in the period Nov. 15 to Nov. 18.

In the run-up to Christmas the firm will publish weekly department store data on Sundays and data for Sunday to Wednesday on Thursdays.

It will continue to publish data for food (Waitrose) and total group sales on Fridays.
