Ukraine PM pledges to fulfil gas transit deal

YALTA, Ukraine, Nov 19 (Reuters) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko on Thursday told Russia's Vladimir Putin that Ukraine would scrupulously fulfil its obligations on the transit of Russian natural gas to Europe.

In comments to Putin and a Russian delegation, Tymoshenko said: "We will very carefully and distinctly carry out our part in the transit of the gas."

She was referring to a gas agreement brokered by Putin and herself last January which ended a pricing conflict that had halted supplies of Russian natural gas across Ukraine to Europe for two weeks.
